How do I make an appointment? How many consultations do I need before the procedure?
You can schedule the appointment by phone. In most cases, one visit is sufficient before the procedure. During this visit, you will discuss your concerns with the doctor, develop a treatment plan, and, if approved, determine the scope of the procedure. Do not hesitate to ask – no question is inappropriate.
Are there any contraindications to the procedure?
The most common contraindications include poor health, unstable chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart or thyroid diseases, and infections. Smoking and alcohol consumption can also negatively affect both the procedure and the healing process.
How to prepare for the procedure?
Complete the recommended lab tests (see below), stop taking blood-thinning medications two weeks prior (consult your doctor), refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol at least during this period. Procedures should not be performed during menstruation. Do not eat or drink for 6 hours before the procedure. Take any regular medications 6 hours before the procedure. Remove any makeup before the procedure. Wear comfortable clothing.
What tests do I need to do before the procedure?
For local anesthesia procedures, you will need a blood count and coagulation profile. For general anesthesia procedures, tests include: blood count with differential, coagulation profile, biochemistry, urinalysis, antibody levels (HBS, HCV, HIV), blood type (if not previously documented), EKG, and chest X-ray. We recommend that patients perform these tests independently.
If additional specialist consultations are needed due to your health condition, the attending physician will advise accordingly.
What should I bring with me to the clinic on the day of the procedure?
If hospitalization is required, bring pajamas, slippers, and hygiene items. Don’t forget to bring your regular medications.
How long will I stay at the clinic?
For local anesthesia, you may leave the clinic shortly after the procedure or after a brief observation. For general or intravenous anesthesia, patients typically stay for 24 hours.
What after the procedure?
Recovery time varies depending on the type of procedure. You can return to physical activity in 1 to 3 months, depending on the intensity of the exercise. Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for several months to prevent scar discoloration. Once stitches are removed, moisturize and gently massage the scar with a rich cream or ointment. Scar treatment products can be applied after two weeks.
How do I pay for the service?
We accept cash at the registration desk. Bank transfers are also accepted—please bring a confirmation of payment. We do not accept card payments or installment plans. A 10% deposit is required upon booking. The deposit is non-refundable if you fail to attend the procedure.
