Breast Correction Surgery

Many women choose this procedure to feel good about their bodies and regain confidence.

Breast Correction Surgery

If you feel that your breasts are too small or asymmetrical and want to change that, you’ve come to the right place. Our qualified surgeons treat each patient individually, aiming to create the perfect breasts that will make you feel comfortable.

Consultations

If you have decided on the procedure, schedule a consultation with our surgeon. During the consultation, your expectations, health status, the process of surgery, and recovery will be discussed, and we will present all the available options. It is important to answer the doctor’s questions honestly and ask any questions you may have. Remember, even if you are not sure if this procedure is right for you, feel free to call us to clear up any doubts.

Implants

They are used for breast augmentation, they can be divided into saline-filled and silicone-filled implants. Saline implants are filled with a saline solution, their advantage is greater durability, and very small incisions are sufficient to place them in the body. Silicone gel implants, on the other hand, usually look more natural, are soft, and conform to the body. Regardless of the type, implants come in various shapes and sizes. During the consultation, we will advise what will work best, taking into account your expectations and body structure, but the final decision is, of course, yours.

Safety

Contrary to popular belief, breast augmentation is not dangerous if carried out by experienced surgeons using high-quality implants. Side effects, such as mild bleeding, infection, or loss of nipple sensitivity, can occur, but there’s no need to worry too much about them; they usually appear right after the procedure, and our staff are prepared for them and always ready to help.  Most patients fear the pain associated with the procedure, but in reality, if it occurs, it’s mild and can be easily managed with regular painkillers.

Before the Procedure

On the day of the procedure, you should be fasting – no food and drinks are allowed. If you are on regular medication, such as for hypertension or other cardiac conditions, take your usual morning dose with a small amount of water. Any other chronic medication requires consultation with your doctor, especially diabetes and epilepsy medications, etc.

Special attention is paid to blood-thinning medications, which we always ask about, and the cessation period for each drug is determined based on its effect on blood clotting – inform your doctor if you are taking such medications. Smoking is harmful, of course, if you smoke, stop at least a day before and absolutely do not smoke on the day of the procedure, or in the postoperative days – smoking causes bronchospasm, increases respiratory resistance, and problems with ventilation of the lungs during anesthesia and in the perioperative period.

Diet and exercise are recommended regardless of the planned surgery and have long-term effects on the body, but implementing them immediately before surgery does not affect the operation or postoperative recovery. Drinking alcohol on the day before and on the day of surgery is strictly contraindicated.

The Procedure

The entire procedure lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The incision is carried out in the inframammary fold, in the armpit area or at the border of the nipple-areola complex. Then, the previously selected implant is inserted into the breast. The type of implant is crucial, so it is important to talk to the surgeon about your expectations honestly and openly. The patient undergoes general anesthesia, so there is no need to worry about pain. Throughout your visit to the clinic, our staff will be available to help and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the procedure.

Recovery

Patients are usually discharged the day after the procedure; some individuals who have surgery in the morning may be discharged in the evening on the same day. After the procedure, the breasts are secured with a special compression bra to reduce swelling and provide support. In the first few weeks, physical activity should be minimized. It is also important not to sleep on your stomach for 3 weeks. Many patients do not experience pain the day after surgery, and some do not even require painkillers. In some patients, the pain persists for 3 to 5 days after the procedure, but it is well controlled with medication, and the swelling usually subsides after a few weeks.

Follow-up visits are scheduled individually

Postoperative wounds typically heal completely after about 2–3 weeks. Absorbable sutures are usually used, so there is no need for their removal. The final appearance of the breast is achieved, depending on the type of surgery, after 3 to 6 months. Most of our patients are surprised at how simple the procedure turns out to be and say that it has helped them discover new confidence in themselves.

QUESTIONS

  1. When can the procedure be performed?
It can be performed whenever there are no health contraindications, for example pregnant and breastfeeding women are not eligible for surgery.
  2. Will the scars after the procedure be very visible?
No, the scars are not large, and they fade over time (this may take 6 to 24 months). Using pharmacological treatments, such as Dermatix or Contractubex, can help.
  3. Is it true that implants need to be replaced every ten years?
Implants are not permanent, so it is recommended that they be replaced every 10–15 years. However, if no problems arise after that time, the surgeon may recommend leaving them in place longer. The most important thing is to carefully monitor your body and any changes, and consult a doctor if you have any doubts.
  4. How severe can the pain be after the procedure?
Most patients say they feel some discomfort, but not pain. However, pain can be expected for the first few days after breast augmentation. Painkillers usually help effectively, so there is no need to worry.
  5. What type of anesthesia is used during the procedure?
General anesthesia, using modern methods with intravenous drugs and gases. Our anesthesiology team is experienced, ensuring a high level of safety
  6. Can I breastfeed after the procedure?
Yes, the procedure does not impair future breastfeeding ability.
  7. Do implants increase my risk of breast cancer?
    No.
  8. Will my enlarged breasts look natural?
Today, breast implants can look more natural than ever before. Our qualified team does everything possible to make the resulting scars as inconspicuous as possible, and for the breasts to look as natural as they can. However, it is important to remember that the best result is achieved when the procedure is tailored to the individual’s needs, which is why thorough consultation with the doctor is so important.
