Wrinkle Correction with Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our body with a high ability to bind water, which helps keep the skin hydrated and elastic. Unfortunately, its level decreases with age. That is why wrinkle filling with hyaluronic acid replenishes this loss and restores the skin’s youthful appearance.

A cross-linked form of this substance is used in the procedure, which ensures it lasts longer in the tissue. Depending on individual factors, the effect may last from several months to over a year.

Correction of Expression Lines with Botox

Botox, or botulinum toxin, is produced by bacteria of Clostridium botulinum species. It works by blocking nerve impulses in the muscle, temporarily paralyzing it. This causes the skin in the affected area to smooth out, making wrinkles less visible.

Botulinum toxin is primarily used to correct expression lines, such as:

• Frown lines, that is a vertical crease between the eyebrows)
• Crow’s feet, i.e. wrinkles around the eyes
• Horizontal forehead wrinkles
• Wrinkles around the mouth

In this case, the duration of the effect also depends on individual factors. Typically, wrinkles remain smoothed for 3 to 6 months. Interestingly, this period may extend with subsequent injections.

Before the Procedure

Both hyaluronic acid and Botox injections require no special preparation. It is best not to apply any makeup on the treatment areas on the day of the procedure.

The Procedure

First, our specialist selects the appropriate concentration and amount of the injected substance. Hyaluronic acid and Botox are administered using a fine needle. You may feel a slight pinch and tingling. At your request, the doctor can apply a numbing cream to the treated areas, eliminating any discomfort during the procedure.

Depending on the number of wrinkles, the correction takes just a few minutes to half an hour. Immediately after the procedure, the skin may be slightly red, swollen, or itchy, but these symptoms usually disappear within a few days.

Contraindications

Depending on the product used, contraindications may vary slightly, so mention all your health conditions and used medications during the consultation. Wrinkle Correction is not recommended in cases of:

• Cancer
• Infection or irritation at the treatment site
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Allergy to the components of the products,
• Use of certain medications, such as blood thinners.
